Creating Great Motivation Habits Are Your Best Allies!
Motivation! The most important thing that you need to keep your health and fitness program alive – even more important than an instructor or a doctor – is your own motivation. You’ve heard the saying, It’s been said about motivation that, “What motivates, motivates, right?
To really know what motivates you is to replace bad habits with good habits is a sure way to be motivated even when you are not!
So, you are overweight and are looking at shedding some pounds. No gym instructor or personal trainer from anywhere in the world will help you if you don’t take adequate measures to have the right diet and to stick with your habit of routine exercise.
Even if you are sick and are looking at treatment, no doctor will help if you aren’t determined in following the treatment program, whether it is taking the medication at the right time or abstaining from some foods.
Why, even God doesn’t help people who don’t help themselves. So, before even thinking of going ahead with a fitness program, the one thing you need to be sure of is your own motivation and determination for it.
You have to make sure your motivation will carry you through with your fitness program till the end.
The best way to do it, of course, is to think about the end result. I think about this as my WHY! For example: If you are planning to enter into a weight loss program, you could think about how great you will feel achieving your desired results. You may also think about how much healthier you will feel once you have achieved your weight loss goals.
In fact, you could make the plan to lose weight and then have a reward of a new outfit. This is what I did and I can share with you how fantastic it felt to have a new outfit once I reduced my weight.
The same applies for every health and fitness program. The two most vital steps for success will be your WHY and how you create your HABITS to reach your goal.
The best way to keep yourself motivated is to think about what is to come (YOUR WHY) and to take daily action to create the habit of success. Think about the result of your efforts. The efforts you need to put in won’t seem so very difficult then.
