EatingAre You Eating the Right Foods? Just because everyone is eating processed, packaged foods doesn’t mean that it is good for you! Stop looking for the magic bullet! Simple ideas for change

Eating well is as important as the exercises you do each day. It is not going to be very beneficial to your health if you have a diet of foods high in processed, packaged so called foods.

While the exercise will help you to achieve better health, the food you eat can do more harm than many people realize. There is no magic bullet to eating a good diet! Real Food is the ideal approach to good eating.

It is the fuel for your body and to eat the wrong food is like filling a gas operated car with diesel.

You need energy to do your workouts and you need food to help your body to recover from those workouts.

Along with a fitness program it is wise to include good eating into your lifestyle.

This doesn’t mean that you need to give up all the foods that you love to eat, but it does mean that you should be eating the correct foods most of the time. You know it is not sexy to eat more veggies, or learn how to reduce your stress, or to get more sleep, slow down, eat organic!eating right

We all have times when we feel like eating some fast foods or something that isn’t high on the nutritional ladder but the basic foundation of our diet needs to be good food that can add to the quality of our health.

If you are doing resistance training and trying to build muscle then you will eat more protein foods as these are the building blocks that help your muscles to build bigger and stronger after they have been broken down by strenuous weight training.

The food you eat before and after your exercise can have a huge effect on the benefits that you will get from your training.

You can’t expect to perform well in your training  if you have just finished a three-course meal, just as it would be difficult to go for a run after having too much to drink.

Doing so could actually endanger you where the body could become overloaded and stressed by having to deal with digestion and exercise.

So what does eating the right food look like for you?

For us it looks like eating more whole foods, in a fresh state that includes green veggies. Organic is always the best choice, local is good choice as well. Your protein if it is pastured beef, pork, chicken etc. Really good quality fats are essential. Like Avocado, coconut oil. grass fed butter, olive oil. And if you can tolerate, eat more raw foods.

Yes eating in this manner is a simple concept and can be more difficult in practice. Give it a try. From my experience you won’t be disappointed.
